Starlifter.TV Logo - 2008

Hi there and welcome to Starlifter,

We started Starlifter in Christchurch, New Zealand in 2008 as Starlifter.TV, a music focussed blog covering new music, radio show playlists, music news and that kind of guff. In 2009 an online stream a.k.a. internet radio station, Starlifter Radio, was added to the fold; broadcasting live rock bands and techno DJs from Christchurch, New Zealand, and Melbourne, Australia. Come 2010 and an increase in our web and design skills brings the birth of Starlifter Media, a web design and development organisation. That year was spent being busy making sites for various funky peeps with no time to make a proper site for Starlifter Media. So here we are in 2011, we’ve moved from Christchurch to Melbourne, and finally found time to make something a bit more tidier for Starlifter Media. So as you can tell we’re capable of quite a few different things, hence the blog post title. The ‘Digital’ is in there because I’d really like to have some kind of Starlifter brand with ‘Digital’ in it. I just like the sound of the word. Well that and Media is so traditional sounding and Digital is so futuristic sounding. One of our good musician friends Module from Wellington has a song titled ‘We R Turning Digital’ and I’d like to think we are.
